Do you suffer from stiff joints? Is getting up the stairs, or even just a few miles down the road difficult for you? If so this could be due to low fluid retention in your joints and worn cartilage. Many of us suffer with these problems, especially as we get older. If this is you, or somebody else you know… here is my Vitapost ProJoint Plus Review…
Please keep reading my in-depth review to see how this might just be able to make you feel better.
Now, have you ever found yourself making this kind of joke before…
“My knees are like an Old Man’s”.
“Ouch, my back hurts. Must be getting old”.
“No, I can’t get up those stairs, they’ll walk up to me before I walk up to them”. ?
I used to find these jokes quite funny once upon a time but now, not so much. As the older, I have got the more ironic this has started to appear. The things I used to enjoy doing I must admit they aren’t as easy to do as they used to be. In fact, many of these things are now like a distant memory.
Although, as I’ve looked into this a bit more what has occurred to me is this is because of my joints. The more I have researched this as well something has been brought to my attention that alongside regular exercise is recommended to try, and this is…
This is a chemical compound found in the fluid areas surrounding our joints. It’s an odd one actually. They say that if you want to find Glucosamine in its dietary (food) form then your best bet is from the shells of shellfish. No joke and how do you eat those right? Maybe you could but who would want to? So, Glucosamine Sulfate in its supplement form is by miles the better option.
There are many products that you can try with this ingredient. Some are better than others but for the purpose of this review let’s take a look at ProJoint Plus by Vitapost. Although, if you are interested in others check out this review below ⏬

Vitapost ProJoint Plus Review (2021)
What Even Is ProJoint Plus?
So Vitapost ProJoint Plus is a supplement that contains 1500mg of Glucosamine Sulphate per serving. If you are looking for a supplement to improve your joint health then this may be of some interest to you. Glucosamine you may or may not have heard of before but this and another Ingredient called Chondroitin are the second most commonly used in the USA (Only after Fish Oil) for Joint Pain Relief and Cartilage Repair.
The reason why these kinds of supplements are so popular it is suspected is because these are compounds not easily obtained through a diet.
Another may be that more people are starting to realise how important it is to look after their joint health.
Something that as we get older only serves to be more important as we go on.
Understanding Joint Health Better
Right well, I didn’t really know too much myself before I began this research but here goes.
Our joints are where 2 or more bones join. As a rough estimate in the average human body, there are between 250-350 joints, and actually, this depends on what we define joints as. Joint health is basically how healthy these joints are.
*Some classify joints as where 2 bones join but others say it is a point where bones meet for the purpose of movement.
These moving joints in case you’re wondering (the other type where bones meet) include;
Ligaments,
Tendons,
Cartilage,
Synovial membrane,
Synovial fluid,
Bursas and Meniscus.
Out of this Cartilage is often the most important.
This is something to definitely learn more about if you are interested in Joint Health…
The Link Between Joint Pain and Cartilage
Cartilage is connective tissue. Its role is to connect, support and even sometimes separate other tissues and organs. It’s interestingly made of mostly water which decreases with age. It is both tough as it is flexible, which makes it perfect for supporting our joints.
Having healthy joint cartilage makes it easier for us to move about.
It has been a theory of scientists that you can support the health of cartilage by naturally supplementing the ingredients found in and around the Cartilage. Glucosamine for one is a type of sugar that helps repair and form new cartilage. It usually works in conjunction with Chondroitin which gives cartilage its elasticity and helps it to retain water.
As a whole (cartilage) is maybe quite like your favourite pair of jeans. Which even though they might seem tough and flexible are still easy enough to tear, and damage. Also, repairing your favourite jeans (like damaged cartilage) is not easily done. Exactly why it is so important to take care of your cartilage and your overall joint health whilst your joints are more healthy.
How to Support Joint Mobility
In definition, Joint mobility is the range of passive motion that occurs in the articulation between bones. Its measurement is made by the total angular motion within each joint’s available degrees of freedom.
Simply said Joint mobility is your joints range of motion or movement.
For example – “How much can you bend or straighten your knee”. Basically, limited joint mobility can mean a limited lifestyle.
What is defined as normal joint mobility usually depends on the joint. If you take your shoulder, for example, this goes into flexion at 160 degrees whilst the hip extends at 5. For anybody that has competed in sports in the past or any kind of fitness program then it is likely that they have done some kind of joint mobility exercises.
As we get older how mobile our joints are can also have an effect on our overall health and function.

In Summary – The Bones of the Matter
So, as the saying goes – “Prevention is the Best Medicine”. Whatever you may be looking for whether it’s preventative joint support or worse pre-existing joint issues the good news is that there is still something that can be done to support your joint health today.
Now, I am not saying that ProJoint Plus or even that any other Joint Pain Relief Supplement has to be the answer. Taking better care of yourself, and your body’s nutritional needs has to be a prerequisite before you try anything else. However, if you can afford it then why not give something like Vitapost ProJoint Plus a go. It is very affordable compared to others and offers a 60-Day Money-Back Return Policy.

Vital Ingredients for Better Joint Health
Actually, if you look at a wide array of joint health supplements there are a lot of them (not surprisingly) that contain some form of Glucosamine and Chondroitin inside. This is kind of what people should expect to be fair, as both are crucial ingredients for Joint health.
However, with a lot of these products what we the consumer may find is also a wide range of other beneficial ingredients. For example below is a mixture of ingredients that are found within ProJoint Plus that are common for a lot of Joint Pain Relief supplements.
About Glucosamine Sulfate
I have already mentioned this one already (I know) but as this is such an important ingredient here is a bit more information.
So, just to summarise. Glucosamine is the chemical compound that is found naturally surrounding our joints.
Its natural role is to stop our bones from rubbing against each other.
It is vital for the assistance of both Joint Health and Improved Joint Mobility.
This incredible ingredient is found most of the time in Joint Health Supplements and its addition is not too difficult to understand. Once you know what it does. If you actually compare different supplements you will see that some contain Glucosamine Sulfate whilst others contain Glucosamine Hydrochloride. [Read Our Related Post: Glucosamine HCL or Sulphate – Which Is Better?]
The difference according to some research is that Glucosamine in its Hydrochloride form is not as effective. In fact, compared to its Sulfate form, some studies have even said that Glucosamine Hydrochloride does not work at all. [R]
The other thing that you will find is that within different forms of Joint Health Supplements they will use 2 different forms of Glucosamine Sulfate. The most effective type is one extracted from actual shellfish (found inside Projoint Plus) and the other in a more synthetic form.
The latter (I think) might be better for some people if they are, say Vegan or allergic to Shellfish but personally, I think if one form is closer to the real form then I would rather try that…
To find out which type your joint health supplement uses. A good idea is to look for an allergy warning. If it says it “Contains Shellfish” then this likely means that it uses the more potent form found inside.
Other than this another ingredient I’ve also mentioned in this article already. Here is a bit more information about it…
The Inclusion of Chondroitin Sulfate
This second compound Chondroitin Sulfate works very closely together with Glucosamine. Both are be found naturally in the cartilage surrounding the joints. Chondroitin is what is responsible for the elasticity and resistance of healthy cartilage.
Chondroitin Sulfate is vital for joint strength since it constitutes the majority of glycosaminoglycans in articular cartilage.
Articular cartilage is the tissue that covers the bottom of bones where they come together to form into joints. This has been confirmed in many studies – the efficacy of Chondroitin. One of these studies that are maybe best known is The Glucosamine/Chondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial. [R]
It is widely believed that because of this trial many supplements for joint health use both Glucosamine and Chondroitin together. Although maybe one thing to note about Chondroitin compared to Glucosamine Sulfate it is much tougher for the body to absorb.
For this reason Vitapost Projoint Plus only includes 150mg of Chondroitin Sulfate compared to 1500mg for Glucosamine Sulfate.
As well as other ingredients including…
Natural Extracts – Bromelain, Curcumin and Bosweila
Inside Vitapost ProJoint Plus are 3-different types of Natural extracts.
- Bromelain from Pineapple
- Curcumin from Turmeric and
- Boswellia
All serve their very own different purposes. This I will explain further below;
So for #1, Bromelain is a protein-digestive enzyme. It is found in the delicious juice and fruit of the pineapple but also is found in the less-edible pineapple stem. The website PubMed reviewed many clinical studies on the uses of bromelain for joint health, with overall positive results. [R]
The next #2 Curcumin the active chemical found inside Turmeric. Another interesting choice for using within joint health supplements. I recently looked at Turmeric in my post 16 Detox Diet Foods for Weight Loss but this is actually something that has popped up again, and again in my other reviews. For me it’s the inclusion within ProJoint Plus really is not very surprising.
Turmeric is only included in a very low dose within ProJoint Plus – only 150mg – but it is definitely something to look at taking in other forms. You can find my review for Vitaposts Turmeric and Curcumin Plus Here.
As for #3 Boswellia Extract, this is added because of its age-old reputation as a powerful ingredient for naturally treating joint health issues. It doesn’t have too much science backing up its effectiveness but none the less it is an interesting addition.
Another name for it is Indian Frankincense which you may have heard of from the Christian Nativity story where a baby Jesus is given Gold, Myrhh and of course Frankincense by the 3 wise men. This in its natural form is a resin-based gum-like substance and a lot of scientists are very excited about Bosweilas untapped potential. [R]
Other Ingredients Inside ProJoint Plus
Alongside the 1500mg of Glucosamine Sulfate, the Chondroitin Sulfate (150mg) and also the natural extracts there are a few more ingredients inside of Vitapost ProJoint Plus to look at. Methionine, Quercetin, and MSM (methylsulfonylmethane).
Here is a short summary of each of these products;
So let’s start with Methionine. This is an essential amino acid found in our body that is packed full of antioxidants. This is actually pretty easy to obtain naturally and can be found in a range of foods including meat, fish and dairy products. It is also very easy to absorb so it is actually quite abundant in a lot of people anyway but still a small dose is added to ProJoint Plus of 25mg per serving.
The same also applies to Quercetin and MSM. Quercetin is a bioactive flavonoid that can be beneficial for joint health when taking the right dosage. MSM short for Methylsulfonylmethane is a chemical found in the body responsible for producing natural collagen and glucosamine.
Its main component is the Sulphur and it’s a combination that helps build both healthy bones and joints. If truth be told I am not the hugest fan of MSM. It is basically just the FDA approved form of DMSO and it nowhere near packs as much of a punch as the real thing.
However, this is added to Vitapost ProJoint Plus and a wide range of other products because basically DMSO is not allowed.
Anyhow…
Other Things To Know About Vitapost ProJoint Plus
So, in summary, ProJoint Plus is a combination of both chemical compounds found in the body and natural extracts. It doesn’t contain a big huge list that sounds like they’ve come from a chemical plant.
The things to note are that although you might not be able to tell the difference between the Boweila and Quercetin inside. For example, the concentration of both the Glucosamine and Chondroitin together along with everything else appears very promising.
Below is a short synopsis of what you can expect to achieve by taking this supplement;
- Multiple studies have shown Glucosamine works best alongside Chondroitin with both working together.
- The Glucosamine/Chondroitin combination is believed to provide every support to healthy joints.
- You should when choosing a Joint Health Supplement look at the label for Glucosamine Sulfate as opposed to Glucosamine HCL (Hydrochloride) because the Sulfate form is backed by more research.
- Bromelain and Curcumin have been shown in studies to both be effective for improving joint health. Whilst Bosweila Extract although it hasn’t had as many studies show some very promising signs for future research.
- Ingredients Methinoinne, Quercetin and MSM are known to have powerful antioxidant properties that can boost Joint Health.
Vitapost ProJoint Plus Review – Best Joint Health Supplement?
Why You Shouldn’t Take VitaPost ProJoint Plus?
So what is ProJoint Plus by VitaPost? Well, it’s a dietary supplement that I think is pretty clear. It’s designed to support joint health and is made with a mixture of natural chemical compounds and herbal extracts.
This I’ve pretty much already covered (I know) but what else?
OK, right so I’m sure I’ve mentioned as well that the main benefit of taking ProJoint Plus is that it can strengthen cartilage and boost joint health. Well, there is that and also the other thing is that a good percentage of these ingredients cannot be obtained from common foods.
Such as the Glucosamine Sulfate found inside is extracted from the shells of Shellfish. This I have mentioned already as well but anyway if you are allergic to Shellfish *Do Not Take this Supplement!*
So… that much is clear do not take ProJoint Plus if you are allergic to Shellfish but otherwise…
Who is VitaPost Projoint Plus For? ✅
For starters, a very important thing to note is ProJoint Plus is not meant to be used as a replacement for things like exercise and other things you may already do to better your Joint Health. This is a supplement that is designed to be taken alongside exercise and a healthy diet.
So ProJoint Plus is for… anyone that wants to make a conscious effort to improve joint health and boost the everyday support of healthy joints.
But ProJoint Plus is not for… anyone that is expecting some kind of magical, miracle cure, and certainly not for anybody that isn’t willing to do the work necessary that comes with taking ProJoint Plus. Which, I’m pretty sure if the same for other products as well.

VitaPosts Recommendation…
To effectively take VitaPost ProJoint Plus it is recommended that you take 3 capsules a day.
This is a little different from the recommendations of other supplements which may suggest a dosage of 1 or 2 capsules. But this is because that ProJoint Plus contains other ingredients that these other supplements do not. (Apparently)
For faster results, you can instead take 6 capsules a day for the first 2 weeks.
You don’t have to do this but this may give quicker relief if you are new to taking this supplement.
As for price another attractive thing about ProJoint Plus is its mid-range price.
The cost is less than $30 for 1 bottle and you can also make further savings by buying this supplement in bulk.
In fact, I highly suggest you do as taking 3 or 6 capsules a day will only last either 10 or 20 days per bottle.
Each bottle contains 60 caps so about 10 or 20 servings. For this reason, either choose the deal for 3 or 6 bottles.
Also, if you find there is no difference in taking ProJoint Plus for your Joint Pain after around 45 days contact Vitapost and request a refund.
Or alternatively, ask for an extension on the money-back guarantee because it could be that you need to take them for longer.
3 to 6 Months is the period that some doctors say that it takes for good Joint Pain relief products to work.
If you watch this video below by Dr Gregory M. Martin his advice is to take (any joint pain relief supplement) for 6-12 weeks, 6 months at the very most to judge whether it is helping you or is not.
In Conclusion… My Final Thoughts
Vitapost ProJoint Plus Review – Best Joint Health Supplement?
So, if you are having trouble with your joints there is actually a number of things you can do other than taking supplements.
Work on your posture, sit up straighter, straighten out your shoulders, stand up and do your stretches.
Supplements can help for sure but they are no guaranteed immediate fix – not by a long shot.
However, research does definitely support the use of some supplements. Especially those made with Glucosamine Sulphate.
More so ingredients inside of certain supplements such as ProJoint Plus have the research that supports their inclusion for improving Joint Health. Except maybe not Bosweila Extract which is added more because of its reputation through history. Although, this is a kind of VitaPosts thing to add these kinds of natural remedies with a historical (kind of tribal) reputation to their products.
So if you are looking for a supplement for Joint Health then it is worth trying ProJoint Plus out as its ingredients are backed by science.

Hello Alex, Thank you for the tip. I ordered my 1st bottle of ProJoint Plus last year and well I can most certainly notice the difference since I’ve started using this product. I have suffered from osteoarthritis and joint pain for the past 30 something years, but only in 2010 was I diagnosed after a fall I had when taking one of my grandchildren to the zoo. Really since then It has only got worse. I’ve tried other supplements such as cod liver oil and in fact one of these products did me the world of good but after I run out of my last bottle the chemist I got it from stopped selling it. Ever since I have wanted to try something else but never really found anything else that worked. It wasn’t till last year that my son showed me this review that I’ve been able to find anything else that has come anywhere close. The only downside though I would say has been the time it took to arrive from the USA. I’m in Norfolk England and the other thing the recommended dose they said was 6 a day. So I actually considering the time it would take to get more only took 1-2 a day with my 1st bottle. Although now I have ordered more I have upped the dose to 3 and I have really noticed an improvement with my joints and I’m able to walk a lot further than before. So Alex, Thank you for sharing this great article I hope this can help others just like it has helped me. Yours Sincerely Pauline from Norfolk England
Thank you Pauline. I had a good feeling about this product when I first did the review. It sounds like you have had a quite difficult time since you’ve had this condition. I sometimes get a bit of a backache myself but I bet this doesn’t even come close to the pain you must have to deal with. So, i’m glad that ProJoint plus is something that you feel works and I’m glad that I was able to help. I’m sorry about the shipping time by the way I don’t work for vitapost I’ve just written reviews for some of their products. I do have a contact with them on skype though so I will see what they say about shipping times and also about what you said with the recommended dosage.
I will then update my listing with this new information
many thanks
Alex

Hi Alex,
Great article there on Vitapost Projoint Plus review. I know getting can be fast and most people won’t even realize their joints have started aching already. I haven’t had such a case personally, but I know a friend that’s always complaining even about his back. I will share this article with him.
Thank you for sharing.
Sergej
Hi Sergej, Yes it is the same for me I don’t get any serious pain but every know and again my wrists and ankles will get minor pains. If it ever happens I will probably look to try something like this.
As for your friend if you could share I would appreciate this.
Many thanks
Alex
Thanks for bringing us this very comprehensive post on Vista post ProJoint Plus.
I think this is something that most of us don’t pay any heed to until the pain starts.
I love walking and try to walk 4 or 5 miles everyday. However, I am getting to an age where unfortunately everything is starting to age. I therefore think that it is essential for me to start taking supplements to keep my joints oiled and in good working order.
I shall therefore start to take these so that hopefully I will never know if I ever needed them in the first place!!
Hi Geoff, Yes walking is amazing. I remember watching a video of someone saying about energy growing stagnant like water, and how important it was to stay active. Apparently Nikola Tesla used to walk for miles everyday for this reason and he lived to 87. I would be happy to reach this age personally so I would definitely recommend your walking activities for anyone.
As for PJP yes what you say about keeping your joints oiled. Our joint actually hold an amount of fluid inside the cartilage. When we start to get older we start to retain less and this is actually how PJP might be able to help because it is designed to help increase fluid retention inside our joints, and not only this but also decrease inflammation. The main reason why this uses Turmeric inside.
Hi Alex,
Great review; thank you for sharing it!
This article comes just in time as I have cartilage issues. My knees hurt when I get up or sit down, and it really becomes unsupportable. I didn’t know there was a supplement to improve the health of the joints. I will try the Projoint Plus and see if there is any Improvement. I really hope it will work for me. My physiotherapist told me to do a lot of biking, and he also gave me some special exercises to do at home every day.
Is there any side effect when taking the Pojoint Plus?
Thanks a lot!
Hi Daniella, Thanks for commenting. Yes by the sound of things I think this could help, and I would definitely recommend it. This should definitely help because it can repair damaged cartilage and increase fluid retention within your joints. The only thing you ask about side effects – if you are allergic to Shellfish you can not take this as the Glucosamine Sulphate inside is extracted from Shellfish shells.
Hope this helps
Kind regards;
Alex
Hey Alex,
Thanks for your great review. I like that you have gotten into the science as I like to understand the ingredients and what they do because joint health is important and most probably an ongoing investment in preventative health for the joints. I am currently taking a joint product that uses Glucosamine Hydrochloride. So I was interested when you said:
“The difference I think is that Glucosamine in its Hydrochloride form is not as effective, as in its Sulfate form, and actually, some studies have even said that Glucosamine Hydrochloride does not work at all.”
Can you please post links to those studies or even email them to me?
Thanks in advance, John
Hi John, Yes I sure can I will go through this information again and get back to you.
From my understanding though Glucosamine HCL is the purer form of the two although Glucosamine Sulphate has better absorption due to its sulphur content.
Hi Alex, I must say that this is a great review!
As a nurse, I am always interested in such supplements because I have several clients suffering from autoimmune diseases, like Fybromyalgia or Arthritis. These people will improve their joints by taking such a supplement.
I have a friend who has suffered from Fybromyalgia for a long time; ingesting Glucosamine has enhanced her joints very much and her intestines, her gut, which is perfect for the whole body.
I usually also recommend bone broth; cooking bones from cows and chicken, and fish gives many healthy compounds to the body. If these people drink daily some cup of broth, they improve their joints and gut as well. With Vitamin C, your skin looks better; your immune system works better because your gut is healthier. I don’t know Vitapost, but I trust that this is a great brand. Excellent article, Alex! 🙂
Thank you Sylvia, I love reading your blog and love your very helpful comments as well. So your friend took something similar to ProJoint Plus interesting? I actually bought for my Mum who has Arthritis but only one bottle which I don’t think really was enough but fast delivery to the UK where she was even though it shipped from USA.
As for Bone Broth I must look at this in a future blog post. I see there are supplements you can get that I could look into. Thanks for your advice and yes Vitapost sells quite a wide range of products. I’ve reviewed a couple so far – they are very affordable but I sometimes wonder if they are actually the best or not.
