Using CBD Oil for Pain Management. An interesting topic no doubt – and in recent years apart from maybe Crypto Currencies CBD oil is undoubtedly one of the biggest new markets online. Its rise in popularity can most likely be attributed to new information coming to light about the many supposed health benefits of the cannabis plant.
Not only this but through the legalization of medicinal marijuana more companies have developed products as a result. And this is before even mentioning the widespread legalization of hemp farming across the USA.
CBD is one of the 2 main forms of Cannabis extracts. The other is THC but the big difference here is that although CBD has many similar health benefits to THC – CBD is NOT Psychoactive!.
Many people interested in alternative medicine actually choose to buy CBD products for this exact reason. It really is no surprise that as more people look to escape the clutches of Big Pharma that CBD products are finding their way onto the shelves and into more peoples homes.
But How About Using CBD Oil for Pain Management? This will be the main discussion of this article…

Using CBD Oil for Pain Management:
1# – Overall Health Benefits of Using CBD Oil
According to my own research, the main health benefits of using CBD Oil are for Stress relief, combating Anxiety and to help with Sleep disorders such as Insomnia. A further look and PTSD, as well as Epilepsy, are supposedly 2 other conditions that can be treated with CBD. Many studies have been taken to support these claims.
Interestingly pain relief isn’t really very high up on the list here from my own search history but in the next section, I will look into this a bit further. For now, though, let’s quickly just explore these overall health benefits a bit further…
So, how CBD works is quite fascinating as unbelievably the human body has inside of it something inside called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). It is this which make our bodies react so well to CBD treatment. More so, the regulation of sleep, appetite, pain and Immune response are managed at least in part to our endocannabinoid receptors.
Also, CBD is a proven anti-inflammatory that has many other excellent beneficial health qualities. It can help enhance the brains neurotransmitters and everything associated with healthy circulation & the central nervous system.
2# – Using CBD Oil for Pain Management
Many people may have heard about people smoking weed for pain-related issues. This has become a kind of like old wives tale for modern times. Instead of taking unsafe painkillers from the doctors they say just smoke a little something instead and see how you feel afterwards.
In fact, using Cannabis to treat pain can be traced back as far as 2900 BC.
Myself, I have heard of people self-medicating with cannabis for conditions such as MS, arthritis, joint pain and general chronic pain on many occasions. I’ve also read about people that have smoked weed after radiotherapy to overcome sickness and even others that have used refined THC oil to OVERCOME TERMINAL CANCER!!!
I can not testify for any of these reports above but my view is there is no smoke without the fire. The other thing taking CBD oil is nothing like smoking weed potent with THC or THC Oil. CBD oil is legal for starters and the dose that a consumer may take is more than likely a lot less potent than with THC.
It also does not have the same psychoactive effects but never-the-less studies have been taken to show CBD is still effective for Pain Management. Even to the point where many buy these products for this use.

3# – Using CBD Oil Vs THC – What is Best?
Some people may have made their minds up here already. CBD is generally from the more often legal non-psychoactive Hemp plant, and THC is from the not so legal psychoactive female plant. For starters, THC might be taken in an unregulated dose which can certainly enhance the effects on the cannabinoid receptors considerably. This is all good but the biggest problem here is this can be a lot for many people to take in.
A few years ago I tried some biscuits made with THC oil and I was hallucinating big time, I didn’t know where I was and generally didn’t feel very well. I would guess that people do build up a tolerance but I think every day this might be a bit much. However, I think a large part of the CBD hype train is down to the more positive side of THC’s effects.
CBD oil I think is kind of water down version of THC products but here is the thing it is legal, non-psychoactive, produced in a safe environment, and many customers come back to buy more. Providing the product is of good quality, to begin with.
4# – Types of CBD Oil Products
i.) Full Spectrum CBD:
As the name suggests this is the most potent type of CBD Oil that contains all the active CBD compounds found in the cannabis plant. Plus a few other things such as essential oils and terpenes. Not only this but with the full spectrum type you can also find a very small amount of THC. By law, this can be anything up to 0.3%.
*Note: When looking for quality FS CBD oil lookout for the following ingredients as a sign of good quality: CBD (cannabidiol), CBG (cannabigerol), CBN (cannabinol) & CBC (cannabichromene).
ii.) Broad Spectrum CBD:
Essentially the same as full-spectrum CBD oil products but without the THC. Everything else pretty much is added as well as the CBD including essential oils, synergistic cannabinoids, and terpenes
iii.) Pure Isolate CBD:
This third kind of CBD Oil is very different from the others mentioned above as this type of product only contains one ingredient from the cannabis plant just CBD (cannabidiol). No other Terpenes, Essential Oils and certainly no THC.
iv.) CBD gummies
Ok, this is just another way to take CBD. Other ways include capsules, soft gels, and concentrates. As for what is inside it is the same as above; full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and pure isolate.
v.) CBD Vapes
Personally, I am quite anti towards vaping, and I don’t believe that this is something I really like to advertise. However, this is another form of CBD oil products that are for sale with the 3 types mentioned above for sale.
5# – Where to Buy CBD Oil?
Lot’s of places actually sell CBD oil. At the time of writing this the CBD industry is projected to be worth $5 Billion by 2025 and since 2017 it’s stock has continued to break records. Not surprisingly there have been many websites set up that deal with CBD oil products. Amazon has quite a few but none with that many customer reviews.
For this reason, I would not buy from here. Holland and Barrett in the UK have over 200+ CBD oil products including many by, the Netherlands based, Jacob Hooy company. I would definitely consider H&B if you are in the UK, but then there are also the specialized websites set up where to buy CBD oil as well.
If you are in the USA one such website is OrganicaNaturals.com. I am not an affilate of this platform but I am convinced of the quality of these products. Many of which are from the Cannibva brand.
I will update this article more to study this further soon but for now.
My Final Thoughts
Honestly, I have never used any commercial CBD products, as I have never had any conditions that have really recommended for me to do so. I would be open to trying some though definitely – especially some of the different hemp teas available.
In my younger years, I actually smoked cannabis quite a bit back in the day. Mostly in the company of others, and more than I maybe care to admit. Although now if I ever do have a smoke on the odd occasion, or whatever it is more often than not a bit too much for me to handle.
So, I totally get why so many people are against taking it. The psychological effects can be very negative for some people and for this reason, I would be very cautious about recommending to others. However, this is really the beauty of CBD. Potentially this is all the great healthy compounds found within cannabis without the psychoactive effects.
It is really early days where scientific research is concerned from what I’ve read. However, this is a very fascinating topic and Using CBD Oil for Pain Management is certainly worth a try. Just if you do so be sure to find a good company that will sell you the right kind of product. As the CBD market to me seems to be very saturated with low-quality products. So be sure to carefully research before making a purchase.
