Vitapost Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin: Honest Product Review 2023
Why Take Turmeric with Curcumin?
Now, as superfoods go Turmeric is one that is very popular in the natural health arena. Whilst most of us might use this spice to add extra flavour to our curries there are other uses. For those interested in healthy living, for example, Turmeric is used for its many purported health benefits Some which include supporting a healthy immune system, joint health, muscle health and to support a healthy cognitive function.
For me, this is not exactly anything new for me. I have written about Turmeric several times so far on this website and even wrote a post about the health benefits of Turmeric alongside Ginger. In fact, in this post, I actually recommended Vitapost’s Ginger and Turmeric Supplement. I kind of had my doubts doing this post after doing this already but, I will be looking to cover some different ground here such as how that Turmeric can come in many different forms.
OK, so, to begin with, let’s start with some of turmerics many studied benefits. There are a good few, and I get why in its rawest form it doesn’t have the most pleasant smell or taste and DON’T get me started on turmeric soap lol. Or for that matter turmeric tea (more about this soon).
However, this is why I think in its supplement form it may actually work better. Just hear me out.
How Turmeric Supplements are Better Than Raw Turmeric…
This may sound strange to some people but there are circumstances when it is actually better if you absorb nutrients through supplements, as opposed to whole food sources. In fact, although it is rare extracted Turmeric is one of these cases.
This is because concentrated curcuminoids found in supplements can be stronger than raw turmeric. To put this into perspective curcumin makes up anything between 2 to 8% of turmeric whilst the curcumin extract typically found in supplements is made up of around 95% curcuminoids.
Exactly why just sprinkling turmeric on your food is less effective for taking in the benefits of curcumin.
More so, in one study it was shown that by cooking with turmeric this may actually result in a loss of the curcumin compound. For instance, if you boil turmeric in your curry or slow cooker for 20 mins or more the health benefits of turmeric may become less and less.
However, with a lot of turmeric supplements, these include some form or another of peppercorn extract. Mostly because – that on its own curcumin can be tricky to absorb. However, combined with peppercorn this can increase the bioavailability of turmeric 20-fold. Why some forms of peppercorn extract are patented specifically for this purpose.
Choosing the Right Turmeric Supplement
Now, before you buy a Turmeric based Supplement be careful about the ones that are GMO and made overseas. When choosing look out for the one’s that are labelled as Non-GMO and check which country they are from. USA, UK and a select few other countries are good but watch out for China, India, Eastern Europe etc. You may have to pay a bit extra but trust me it will be worth it.
Plus, another tip for choosing the right kind of product I would suggest is to see how much organic and non-organic turmeric the supplement has inside. It’s true that to label something, as it is, can be pretty stringent. As to do so it needs to be ascertained that the plant has been produced without using chemicals and toxic pesticides. For this reason, it is actually quite rare to find a product such as organic turmeric root that isn’t quite a bit more expensive than it’s competition.
Also, when choosing a turmeric supplement if you are a vegan than be sure to check what the capsules are made from. If they are made from gelatin bare in mind that this is an animal by-product. Look for products that are actually labelled as vegan friendly. I find most vegan capsules are made from cellulose but it should state on label vegan friendly anyway.
With all this in mind this in mind this is why I’ve chosen to review the Vitapost Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin.
VitaPost Turmeric Curcumin Plus is #1 Vegan-Friendly #2 it contains 1500mg of organic turmeric, as well as #3 contains black pepper extract, and #4 is made with highly concentrated curcumin.
IN SUMMARY: VitaPost Turmeric Curcumin Plus is a dietary supplement that consists of BioPerine and Turmeric extracts. By design, this is a formula made to be enjoyed by many. It’s main selling points are is it is gluten and sugar-free, vegan-friendly, non-GMO, and made with organic ingredients.
Vitapost Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin: The Benefits
You may ask why should you consider taking turmeric as a supplement? Well, the good thing about Vitapost Turmeric Curcumin Plus is – that it is for EVERYONE. Anyone taking this can benefit from the antioxidant support this product offers.
Although before taking like any kind of dietary supplement you should always consult first with a GP or healthcare professional.
Even more so, if you are a female going through a pregnancy. Taking curcumin in large doses can affect the balance of hormones. If you are pregnant this is definitely not recommended. I am not a qualified doctor and do not hold any medical qualifications but this should really be something to take note of.
The Science Behind The Spice of Life
One of the worlds oldest known holistic healing systems is Ayurveda. This is a term that in Sanskrit translates into “The Science of Life. Originally Ayurveda comes from India, and in principle, it follows a belief system of promoting good health practices rather than taking precautions against fighting disease.
In Ayurveda Turmeric has a very special place and has been used within this system for centuries. It is used for many different treatments and is frequently prescribed by elders as a remedy in a paste form. Interestingly, what in Ayurveda has been called assumed benefits going back many years is now being linked to scientific discoveries that have found that turmeric at the root especially has very powerful antioxidant properties.
Even more fascinating (I think) is that the concept of bioavailability enhancement substances has origins in Ayurveda. The actual term “bioavailability enhancer” was a name given by Indian scientists that discovered and validated piperine as one the first-named bioavailability enhancers in 1976. It (Piperine), if you have never heard of it, is used in Turmeric Curcumin Plus as the bioavailability enhancer which it utilizes.
So if Vitapost Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin is something that interests you – you can be sure that the ancient practices of Ayurveda will give you the added boost of what it terms the spice of life, alongside the modern science that goes into making this product so special.
How Vitapost’s Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin Can Work for You?
Inside Turmeric Curcumin Plus you will find three key different ingredients; 1.) Organic Turmeric (as you may have guessed) 2.) Curcumin (as you must have guessed again!) and 3.) Bioperine, a type of Piperine (which you maybe didn’t guess) but there you go. Each together combines to create this amazing supplement.
Now just to summarize which each one of these ingredients does…
i.) Organic Turmeric
So, to begin with, it would be perhaps a bit strange if I didn’t mention this one first. A golden coloured superfood used in Ayurveda for many centuries. Dating back thousands of years and only now in these modern times are the studies being taken to prove what these ancient cultures have known all along.
Clinically the main target of Turmeric is the digestive organs; These Include the intestines, bowel and colon.
Well-known for providing support through its potent antioxidant qualities Turmeric is a powerful spice with many health benefits. Unlocked through its many curcuminoids the jury is still on which is better – actual turmeric or curcumin
More research to determine which is the better of the two still needs to be taken but with that in mind Turmeric Curcumin Plus contains a formula that includes 1200mg of Organic Turmeric alongside 100mg of non-organic turmeric with a ratio of 95% curcuminoids for this very reason, and this before we actually get to the 2nd ingredient…
2.) Curcumin
Moving on from Turmeric we quickly get to Curcuminoids and their own additional benefits. Studies show that inside curcuminoids other ingredients are found that help support the immune system, joint health and cognitive function. This is because Curcuminoids are known as natural antioxidants. These help support strong muscle and joint health by fighting off dangerous oxidation and free radicals¹⁰
Now similarly to ginger, Curcumin makes a special appearance in and around Xmas time It is maybe not quite the best alternative to a nice friendly gingerbread man (a turmeric man) but when it comes to immune support this ingredient is second to none for its antioxidant potential. Something that also bolsters joint and muscle health even more.
Plus did I say that Curcumin helps improve and support healthy brain function? Many studies taken have shown this, that if you supplement curcumin daily then this can help maintain healthy cognitive function. Mostly down to the powerful antioxidants inside this powerful spice can boost a healthy mind and mood as well as reduce stress.
Now I did mention 3rd ingredient…
iii.) Bioperine (Piperine)
Right well, now, here is an interesting point. For the body to actually successfully absorb Tumeric and more so Curcumin without any help this is very hard. It doesn’t matter how much you take, and this is why Vitapost uses Bioperine as the 3rd ingredient.
This type of piperine (a kind of black pepper extract) has been shown in 20 years plus of studies to be the perfect bioavailability enhancer when used with curcumin. So much so that it can increase the effects of Turmeric and Curcumin 20-fold and why by combining these ingredients the perfect formula is created.
So, here is how it works. When you eat you don’t just consume nutrients on their own but rather a complex mixture of vitamins, minerals and enzymes – amongst other things. Which as a result combine together to try and work with each other in the best way. But in some situations, there can be complications when one of these compounds chooses to work alone.
This is usually the case with the curcumin from turmeric it actually needs the piperine to be absorbed.
Exactly why taking VitaPost Turmeric Curcumin Plus has a kind of advantage over dieting with these ingredients is this is the most effective form of consumption. You also get the full benefits of the many other beneficial compounds inside turmeric other than the curcuminoids. Aromatic compounds, rhizomes, sesquiterpenes and volatile oils. So, look no further if you are looking for improved immune support, improved joint and muscle health as well as strong detoxifying qualities.
Somethings You May Like To Know (SAFETY WARNING!)
Lastly, as I bring this article to a close. You may wonder what the instructions ARE for taking this product? and also whether it is safe or not. Well, pretty simple really 1-bottle contains 60 orange capsules. This is a one month’s supply with a recommended dosage of 1-2 caps a day to be taken 20-30 before eating a meal.
As for whether they are safe – I covered this already above but here we go AGAIN. I can not tell you this with any authority as I am not actually qualified to do so but I would say with some certainty they are. Although like any health supplement there is a general rule of the thumb ~ DO NOT take if you are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, and consult with a healthcare professional before taking. Especially if you currently take pre-existing medication.
Oh, and again as I said above taking Curcumin in large doses can affect hormone levels – so definitely NOT recommended during pregnancy. Maybe write this down. Now…
My Final Opinion of Vitapost Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin
Well, it has been interesting and in a lot of ways (writing this post). It reminds me of Purelife Organics Flat Belly Tea. It’s not quite the same thing but this also uses Turmeric and Black Pepper Extract (Piperine) as ingredients. Not only this but If you would like to try the 21-day flat belly fix system alongside this you can do so for free. It comes as a free bonus! Anyway…
Although, actually there are a lot of other MUCH CHEAPER Turmeric Supplements on the market. I don’t want to fool you into thinking there is not but one thing you can be certain about here IS THIS IS a Non-GMO product, Made in the USA with Organic Turmeric plus this is definitely a company that I myself TRUST.
Their Joint Health Supplement which is also made with Turmeric ProJoint Plus I ordered for my parents to try last week. Expect to read a case study on this soon.
Anyway (again), if you want to boost your Immune System, Detox YOUR Body, Boost Cognitive Function, Strengthen YOUR Muscles and Joints then well THIS you might want to try. And It actually may be good for helping to lose weight as well.
I can’t say this for definite but the flat belly tea product I reviewed is a weight loss product that is essentially Turmeric and Black Pepper Extract (Piperine) so maybe you get what I mean. Although that is a bit more expensive and not sure how organic.

Very happy to have run into this honest review as I have not been able to find something out there that has reliable and nonbiased information. This is truly a good website to come to reviews for as what I am seeing from this single review. I really appreciate this information and I’m glad to have run into this thorough reivew
Thanks Misael, Really appreciate your kind words and I will try to keep up the good work with more posts like this in future.
I have heard so many great things about this product and it’s benefits. It strengths my viewpoints on it and all the good things I can acquire from taking these supplements. All of the reviews I’ve seen they don’t explain why this supplement is so important as the way you’ve done in this post – which has basically convinced me that I should indeed give this a try.
Wow Stephanie, This is great to hear. If you click on the link in the banner in my post and go to the sales page where you can use a discount code. If you really do want to give this a try use code VTA25 for 25% Off
We have been using turmeric as a food supplement for some time because of all the benefits and effects it has on the body. I know that nowadays various supplements are obtained with content that has healing effects. Thanks for this great review about Vitapost Turmeric Supplement with Curcumin. I was really a little surprised when I read that supplements are better than a natural source, but then I read on and saw that you explained very well why.
Friendly greeting,
Nina
Thanks, Nina, Yes there are cases where supplements can work better. In this case, it is to do with the Piperine that increases the absorption of the Turmeric. If you check the turmeric supplement you take you may see something like black pepper extract on the ingredients label. This is piperine.
Thank you very much for your detailed review about Turmeric Powder Curcumin Plus and its benefits. I am a fan of this product since the ages of early teenager. I like to include it in every meal I cook due to its benefits. However, I was not aware about the existence of different quality. I just found out from your review that the ones with gelatin exists as well. I liked your suggestion about going with the organic one.
All the best!

Hi Alex. This is a really great and informative article. I am always interested in anything and everything that has to do with health. It is really good also that you inform people to check with their health care professional first before taking the Vitapost Turmeric Supplement as it could interfere with certain medications they may be taking. This supplement has many benefits as you pointed out such as better intestinal health, brain health with better cognitive function and healthy muscle and bone joints. Also like the warning for pregnant women. Great article!
Evelyn
Thanks Evelyn. Glad you liked.
Quiet an informative review article you have here and thank you for sharing. Considering that the supplements are better than the acute turmeric cooked with curry in terms of dosage. Do they have any side effects upon taking the supplements? or are they dependent on your bodies reaction to them?
Hey Volkert, It isn’t really to do with the dosage – it is more how to do with how the curcumin from the turmeric is absorbed. This is why the Piperine is added to the supplements to increase absorption. You could maybe add to your curry and it would work similarly. My last curry I added dried cayenne peppers to which are very hot but it is a lot of effort making curries so I think the other great thing about these supplements is the convenience factor. As for side effects they do say high levels of Turmeric can mess with your hormones and this is why it says if you are pregnant these supplements are not recommended.
Hello!I think yout blog is very interesting! You have a really great ideas, I love it! You are very creative and you should keep going with this. This can be helpful for an amount of people around the world and that is a great work! And I love that because you are always honest.
Thanks, Lioness98; Glad you liked and for sure I will keep building this website till I make a success of it. As for being honest, I think you have to. If you want to build trust with people this is key I think.
Wow, you have provided a lot of information on the Vitapost Turmeric supplement.
I do take turmeric with curcumin and find it helps my overall health, especially with arthritis. Although my symptoms are mild, I’m sure it would benefit those with more challenging joint issues, too.
I have not tried the Vitapost brand before but based on the information here, maybe I should. It is in the same price range as the one I’m using, but I like that it is organic. I try to use only organic products whenever possible.
Again, thanks for the great information. This is an article I can easily share with my health-conscious friends, too!
Hi Diane, Yes please do the price of Vitapost products are so far what I have seen $29.99 each some I think are slightly cheaper but if you or any friends are interested – contact me and I can give you a discount code.
Haha thanks for the article my guy! I think this product can really come in handy with my mom. I mean, she has been looking to go on a diet for the longest time, and nothing ever works. I’m sure she’d be down to give this a shot, as it looks legit. I’ll make sure to let her known about it!
Hi Jongbriel, I would actually suggest the Flat Belly Tea product I reviewed in my other post. This uses Turmeric and Piperine as well as other ingredients such as African mango and MCT oil for a more effective weight loss treatment; Check it out here:
Flat Belly Fix Tea Review – Weight Loss Tea by Purelife Organics – (dynamicideas4life.com)
Interesting. I used to take a turmeric supplement but not with curcumin in it. Personally I would like to know how large the capsules are, though the fact that they are capsules and not tablets is already a plus. I stopped taking the supplement I was using before because they were too large, and it seemed like a 50/50 chance every day on whether I’d get them down without gagging. But they were in tablet form and not capsule form. Thank you for the information.
Hi Christina, All turmeric Supplements contain Curcumin it is the main compound. I haven’t tried this supplement yet personally but I have ordered Vitaposts ProJoint Plus so will know a bit more about this company then. If you are interested you can use code VTA25 for 25% off.
turmeric mixed with curcumin is indeed a very nice combo and though i have not seen this before a, i think i can say that the supplement is good indeed, it really has a lot of health benefit and from my little research i did just now, i will say that it is really good and ill recommend for anyone
Thanks Colin
