Before we begin with my 5 Reasons To Try Hyperbolic Stretching if you have never heard of this before here are the main things to know how this might be able to help you.

You can tell the genuine ones as they are not promoting an affiliate link or review.  There is some discussion about back problems being caused by the back bridge exercises but overall it appears that for what someone might usually pay for a personal trainer this does seem like a very good deal compared.

Who Is Alex Larrson?

As mentioned already the creator of the Hyperbolic Stretching course is Alex Larsson.  Alex was previously a computer programmer that spent many long 10 hour days at the office working from his desk with hardly ever any movement aside from his hands and lower arms.

One day apparently, unexpectedly Larsson could not move at all.  He suffered from what turned out to be a total neuro-muscular shutdown in his back, hips, and hamstrings.

i.)  Improve Fitness and Flexibility


Perhaps most prominently one benefit for those that try Hyperbolic Stretching is by improving flexibility and movement.  Apparently, these unique methods can work in ways that dynamic and static stretching simply cannot.

For instance, some studies suggest that stretching can help you gain better hip mobility.  Despite the fact that there is no evidence to support that hyperbolic stretching’s more effective than other stretching methods in general, studies suggest that both static and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretching — where muscles are both contracted and stretched — have similar results.

Hyperbolic Stretching Overview


In summary Hyperbolic stretching (not including the bonuses) is a 4-week program consisting of 21 videos in which you will learn 8-minute stretching routines.  Firstly, you will begin with the warm-up series to get you used to the program.

This is followed by the split test and exercises from week 1 to week 4 and finally the flexibility maintenance routine.  I can not seem to find much more information other than this being that I have not actually purchased this product but the videos I shared above should give you some idea of the exercises you will be doing for the first 2 weeks.

Do I Recommend Hyperbolic Stretching?


After doing quite a bit of research on this program I think it is safe to say there is one major flaw.  Who really are Alex and Lisa Larsson?  Where are the Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts?  There is a Youtube account with 2 videos so I guess Alex is definitely real but doesn’t seem very professional.

If he really is a personal trainer why not charge people for personal training?  This product has been around since 2019 you would think there would be more of a social presence.  However, from my understanding, this was originally an eBook and has been made into a video course so maybe we will see more in future.

Now, I have read many things that this is great for warm-ups and after workouts.  I read that there are claims about this product being a remedy for erectile dysfunction and many other things.   Honestly, it might be good for this and for that but as the creators say it is for building core strength and helping to improve flexibility (range of motion).

With this in mind, it is only $27 it is easy enough to get a refund if you don’t like it and the results might just be exactly what you’re looking for.   I have seen a lot worse and I will leave the rest up to you.

Does Hyperbolic Stretching Actually Work?

All things considered, for any exercise regimen, this can be a good addition. Overall, the stretches will not do any harm to a healthy person, and in fact, stretching as an exercise is good. This is at least worth a go. The stretches featured in this course are very easy to do and are not much different to basic yoga stretches.

What Can Happen if You Overstretch?

When muscles are overstretched they will appear lax instead of toned.   This can cause instability issues within a joint, creating problems ranging from microscopic tears in the tissues to full tears of tendons, ligaments or muscles. Joints may also be affected and become hyperextended.

Is Hyperbolic Stretching Safe?

Generally speaking yes these are low-intensity exercises.  The stretches are fairly easy to do and can be compared to basic yoga stretches.  Try to stick to the program as Alex Larsson recommends and you should be fine.  However, if you do manage to overstretch or feel any severe pain after these exercises please consult with a physician.  

What is Dynamic Stretching?

This refers to any kind of stretching that is done with movement.   This is designed to stretch the muscles to their full range of motion.  Some stretches from the Hyperbolic Stretching program include dynamic stretches.

Whether you do this with hyperbolic stretching or not.  Here are some basic tips; 

i.) Before you begin your stretches spend a few minutes warming up.
ii.) Perform dynamic rather than static stretching

iv.) Make sure you are stretching your muscles safely.

What are 3 Types of Stretching?

Generally speaking, there are 3 different types of stretching – Static Stretching, Dynamic Stretching, and Ballistic Stretching.  Which are stretches without movement, with movement and with quick, jerky movements.

What Is The Difference For Males and Females?

Final Word On Hyperbolic Stretching


So, quite a lot to share here other than my initial 5 Reasons To Try Hyperbolic Stretching Exercises.  To be honest I found this to be very similar to another product I wrote a review for in the past called Pelvic Floor Strong.  From that, I see the importance of core strength training.  Although this I felt added a bit of something else.

From my understanding, this type of stretching has benefits for all sorts of things.  Aerobics, Yoga, Dance, Athletics, Bodybuilding, Martial Arts may even help with rehabilitation from injuries etc.

But not only this there is a whole plethora of embarrassing health problems that this might help with as well.  So for only $27.00 for this course and several bonuses with a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee this is at least worth trying out for a couple of weeks if nothing else.

I do stretch myself regularly and I know what miracles can simple 20-30 minutes 3-4 times a week stretching exercise bring to one’s life. I had to learn it somewhere as well. (I am ex pro athlete, so there I learned the basics, later I purchased some book) So, therefore $27 is very reasonable price. Also seeing that Alex, the creator turned his life around and started to practice what he is teaching, it definitely proves to be quality guarantee. Also the variety of improvements (core, muscle flexibility, etc) is no brainer for me. Cheers

  3. Based on the pictures in the video, the stretches are definitely legitimate. However, there are no stretches there that I haven’t seen before.
    Maybe his way of achieving flexibility is ‘different’ than yoga, martial arts, or other methods but really, there’s not much new in the world anymore.

    The price is ok, and if someone needs to follow a structured routine to become more flexible, this may be a good course. I think I ould look into it further before buying…. but as you say, with the 60-day money-back guarantee, we have nothing to lose.

I would suspect these exercises are taught elsewhere in other programs but this is as you’ve quite rightly pointed out a structured routine that someone can follow rather than creating a mish-mash of different exercises from Youtube. I have heard different things about this from different people but yes if this is something you are willing to try and you are unhappy with the course or it doesn’t produce the results you are after you can always claim back your money.

Hi Alex, If you would have talked to me about any type of Stretches or Yoga nine years ago, I would be like “I’m NOT Interested!” but after starting my own cleaning business (my back and hips started to hate me), I find working out enjoyable and I love playing soccer but my body was just always stiff and hurt. I did a google search on how to help my body not be so stiff and achy and I keep running into searches, talking about how great any type of stretches and yoga can help one relieve body stiffness and aches. I decided to include/added stretches and yoga in my weekly workout program, nine years ago. I recommend one should include any type of stretches & yoga, just make sure you consult first with your doctor or know that you are medically clear to perform the type of stretches or yoga you want to do. Once medically clear, you will see great health results in your body doing stretches or yoga.
    This is something, I will be looking into and trying.

    • Hi Nigellie, Thanks for commenting. Yes, I think a lot of people don’t realise the benefits of exercise until something happens that forces their hand. Even Alex Larsson the creator of hyperbolic stretching was basically paralysed before he began learning about his stretching exercises.

      I think that really many of our joints and muscles we don’t realise how underused they are. Many like yourself I guess find themselves in situations where these joints and muscles suddenly need to be worked more which the body is not adapted to. Maybe this is where something like hyperbolic stretching can help – let me know if you do try this out.
